Grand Cayman has great restaurants that serve a variety of tempting dishes. There are ethnic choices like Italian, Indian, Chinese, Thai and Mexican, seafood and sushi restaurants, steak houses, places specializing in local food, and others that offer creative one-of-a-kind, award winning cuisine.
Dinner reservations are advised at most restaurants, especially during the winter season. Dress is normally casual to smart casual. Cost varies. For dinner, main courses start at about CI$15 and range upward so at least CI$75 a head can be expected for a full meal including wine at the better restaurants. Lunch prices start at about $7.00.
Buffet-style brunches are a popular weekend feature at some hotels and restaurants. American fast-food has invaded, but local entrepreneurs have countered with Caribbean favorites and almost every establishment does take-out.
