- Prevention of Gender Discrimination Bill (2010)
Release of the bill coincided with the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). Passage of local legislation will allow the extension of CEDAW to the Cayman Islands. The public is invited to provide feedback on the proposed legislation. The deadline to submit comments is 31 January 2010.

The “Builder’s Bill” will help protect people who hire contractors by creating accountability in the construction industry. If passed into law, builders and contractors will be licensed in various categories, according to their skills.
