We are currently accepting applications for the following position with the Governorís Office:

Residence Manager

The post holder will be responsible for managing all aspects of staffing, facilities and functions at Government House, while ensuring the needs of the Governor and his family are met on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all staff including Executive Chef, House Assistant and Housekeepers, as well as events staff
  • Preparing and serving meals for the family as required
  • Coordinate all aspects of functions held at Government House
  • Purchasing of goods for the household and functions
  • Maintaining all inventory records, as well as information related to functions
  • Liaise with relevant service providers to maintain the property

The post holder should have:

  • A college graduate degree (2 years) with equivalent of London City & Guilds 706-1 & 706-2 OR Specialized Associate degree in Culinary field and Food Service
  • Minimum of 3 years catering experience and 2 years food service experience at least at a supervisory level
  • Minimum of 3-5 years managerial experience including HR experience
  • Food Service skills, knowledge of wines and beverages
  • Basic accounting and information technology skills: ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent planning and coordination abilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours and under pressure to meet deadlines
