The Portfolio of Legal Affairs, Truman Bodden Law School, is currently inviting applications for the following posts:

Senior Law Lecturer (PPC) (LL.B) and (LL.M)

The Truman Bodden Law School (“TBLS”) is an affiliated institution of Oxford Brookes University (UK) whose Diploma in Legal Practice is offered following completion of the TBLS Professional Legal Practice Course (PPC) and the University of Liverpool (UK) whose LL.B and LL.M degrees are offered through TBLS. All appointments to the full time teaching staff of TBLS are subject to the approval of our UK affiliate partners. All full time members of the TBLS teaching staff having teaching responsibilities for the University of Liverpool programmes receive designation as recognized law teachers of the University.

TBLS currently has a Faculty of nine full-time lecturers. It has an existing enrolment of approximately 100 students. TBLS forms part of the Legal Portfolio, falling under the office of the Cayman Islands’ Attorney General.

Senior Law Lecturer:

Applications are invited from individuals who possess at least an Upper Second Class Honours Degree in Law, a professional or postgraduate qualification in law and previous relevant teaching experience at University level of at least 5 years. A Teaching qualification in post compulsory education would also be an advantage as would an established track record of legal research and publication in internationally refereed law journals.

  • Subject specialisms to include (PPC): Civil Litigation and Legal Skills; Probate; (LL.B): Tort; Intellectual Property Law; Environmental Law; Wills & Succession; Land Law; Jurisprudence; Criminology, Medical Law; (LL.M) International Dispute Resolution; International Banking Law and Capital Flows.
