Conservation Officer– Sister Islands
The Department of Environment invites applications for the position of Conservation Officer. The post-holder will join the Enforcement Section and conduct patrols in assigned areas to ensure public compliance with the National Conservation Law.
The successful applicant should have experience in law enforcement or successfully complete enforcement training, and a clear police record. The applicant must demonstrate mature judgment, calmly deal with confrontation and act impartially to all sectors of the public. Excellent boat handling skills with a thorough knowledge of local waters are required. Written and verbal communication skills must be suitable for the preparation of case files and giving expert testimony in court. The post-holder will be based in Grand Cayman, but periodically work in the Sister Islands. Weekend and Public Holiday shifts may be required.
