The Judicial Administration is now accepting applications for the post of:

Case Manager, Maintenance and Affiliation

To manage the process of Affiliation and Maintenance matters in the Cayman Islands (hearings in Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac). To maintain Court Records within Judicial Administrationís database and otherwise and to calculate, oversee and maintain maintenance calculations and maintenance arrears calculations in respect of monies paid into Court. .

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    1) Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with the public, Attorneys, Judges, Magistrates and other Public Officers in relation to family proceedings. As a Case Manager the post holder must possess the following communication skills:-

  • Establish rapport and build effective, professional relationships with the public and other professionals
  • Be unbiased and fair with clients of the Court
  • Active and Effective listening
  • Responding with empathy
  • Confidentiality
  • Interviewing and assessment
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently extract needs of client and communicate appropriate and relevant guidance

2) Must possess strong computer skills including a demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.

3) Must have a minimum of intermediate technical use of Excel for the purposes of accurately compiling financial data using spreadsheets.

4) Must possess at a minimum 5 years of administrative or clerical experience, plus two years of experience in a Court, Legal or Accounting environment.

5) Must be a high school graduate with 5 GCSEs and 5 years relevant office/secretarial experience

6) Knowledge of the Judicial Enforcement Management System would be an advantage

7) Conflict Resolution Skills would be an advantage.

8) Legal experience relevant to family proceedings would be an advantage or, if not, it is expected that the post holder will develop these over time with the support of the Lead Judge and Supervisor.

9) The post holder must possess the ability to multi-task.
