Invites applications for the following post:

Executive Officer (Compulsory & Early Childhood Education)

The post holder will provide administrative and operational support for the Deputy Chief Officer, Senior Policy Advisor Early Childhood Care and Education and the other Compulsory and Early Childhood teams, in the delivery of key objectives.

Required qualifications, experience and skills include the following:

  • The post holder must be a High School Graduate with at least GCSE passes in English and Mathematics, although an Associated Degree in Business Administration or Related subject is preferred, together with 3 years relevant office experience.
  • Possess good communications skills with a customer orientated approach to dealing with the public.
  • Possess a willingness to help in all aspects of service delivery of the Portfolio.
  • Be highly computer literate with experience of Microsoft applications and a minimum typing speed of 60 wpm.
  • The post-holder must be able to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail and undertake tasks within restricted time frames in high demand areas.
  • The post-holder must ensure the strict confidentiality of all aspects of the Portfolio’s work.
  • Be able to contribute during team activities but also work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Have the ability to understand and work within the culture, vision and strategic direction of the Portfolio.

A pre-employment drug screen and a Police Records check are conditions of employment.
