The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism invites applications for the following post:

DEPUTY DIRECTOR

(INTERNATIONAL MARKETING & PROMOTIONS)

(TWO YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT)

The Deputy Director, International Marketing & Promotions will responsible for the coordination and implementation of programmes, projects and activities which will enhance the image, competitiveness and demand for the Cayman Islands as a leading Caribbean vacation destination.

DIMENSIONS OF THE JOB

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for assisting the Director of Tourism with the development, coordination and monitoring Global and Country Specific Marketing and Promotions Plans, specifically in the areas of

  • Annual Advertising & Promotions Plans
  • Demand Generation and Customer Retention
  • Digital Marketing and Social Media
  • Local and International Research & Reporting
  • Oversight of the Overseas Offices (US, Canada and UK)
  • Local and International Industry Relations
  • Brand Management and Development
  • Partnership and Affinity Marketing
  • Management and Development of Staff

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • An MBA or graduate degree in marketing or international business with no less than five (5) years experience in their field of expertise is preferred
  • Candidates with a Bachelorís degree together with at least ten (10) years of direct and relevant marketing experience will be given equal consideration
  • Proven track record of business development, marketing planning and supervision of marketing agencies
  • Track record of success and performance
  • Demonstrable experience in internet marketing and direct marketing
  • Proven track record of understanding market dynamics, translating into actionable strategy and implementation to achieve pre-set objectives.
  • Experience in managing budgets across varied units, setting up effective metrics and business process whilst falling in line with established financial reporting.
  • Prior international marketing experience preferred
