International Cooperation Officer II

The Ministry of Financial Services and Home Affairs is recruiting a highly detail-oriented and organized individual to join the Department for International Tax Cooperation. The successful candidate will assist in the performance of exchange of information functions for international cooperation in tax matters in accordance with the relevant legislation, agreements and international standards. The Department for International Tax Cooperation is responsible for the effective implementation of the Cayman Islands international obligations in tax matters and for engagement with relevant international initiatives and bodies.

AS INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION OFFICER II, YOU WILL:

  • Assist with practical aspects of all forms of exchange of information from other jurisdictions under international agreements.
  • Assist with review and analysis of incoming requests received under international agreements.
  • Collaborate with senior staff in compiling relevant formal notices, collate received information, and the subsequent formal exchange of information with the requesting treaty partners.
  • Assist with reporting of information under automatic exchange mechanisms.
  • Deal with aspects of reporting, compliance monitoring and inquiries resulting from these reporting regimes.

DO YOU HAVE?

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration or other relevant area with a minimum of 3 to 4 years relevant work experience in a business or technical environment.
  • Ability to handle complex documents and data accurately and in an efficient manner.
  • Sound administrative skills and a high level of proficiency in document production and data organization in IT systems.
  • Experience with understanding legal concepts and documents.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills and the ability to meet objectives and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Proven ability to work in a highly sensitive and confidential environment, while maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Knowledge of the Cayman Islands international tax cooperation framework.
