The Judicial Administration is now accepting applications for the post of:

Executive Officer - Civil Registry

To provide Clerical, Administrative and Cashier services to:-

  • The Civil Registry
  • Registrar of the Cayman Islands Court of Appeal, and
  • Senior Deputy Clerk of Court and Registrar of the Financial Services Division

In relation to the processing of Civil Actions and ensure full compliance with the Grand Court and Summary Court Rules.

Specialist Knowledge/Qualifications

  • Must be a High School graduate
  • Certifications in legal Studies and/or Customer Service
  • Knowledge and understanding of instructions to carry out specific work routines.
  • Ability to make decisions within defined guidelines.
  • Knowledge of records management principles, methods, procedures and techniques
  • Knowledge of Judicial procedures, processes, settings and working of the Court or ability to read, comprehend and apply the Laws, Rules and procedures of the Grand and Summary Courts to given situations


  • No less than 5 years’ relevant work experience, at least 2 of which to be in a legal environment.
  • Must have at least five years’ experience in a finance environment, which operates to predetermined deadlines and procedures.
  • Must be able to work independently under high pressure during peak times while maintaining the highest level of accuracy.
  • Proven ability to follow procedures and work in a consistent manner.
  • Proven ability to work accurately and efficiently, managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Proven eye for detail ensuring any discrepancies or irregularities are dealt with in accordance with defined procedures.
  • Proven ability to work flexibly, on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Proficient in using technology including email, word processing and spreadsheets using Windows applications.
  • Experience of liaising and/or working with the general public, other organisations and agencies.
  • Experience of working with multiple computer systems
