BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

Key Responsibilities:The post holder will be responsible for the leadership of and for carrying out the business relationship management process as an IT Liaison between the Computer Services Department (CSD) and the various Government Departmental Clients to ensure the business partner needs are correctly understood and addressed. The post will ensure business processes and business support are being met. This person is the key liaison between the technical teams in CSD and other government departments. The post holder will be responsible for building relationships and will implement and manage the configuration of client objectives.

Qualifications: The post-holder should possess: an IT related Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant post-graduate experience; OR an IT related Associates degree plus a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant post-graduate experience; OR be a more mature entrant with a minimum of three (3) CXE passes plus thirteen (13) years of relevant post-high school graduate experience and/or education, if aptitude for analysis and software development work is evident. Preferred degrees are in Computer Science or Management Information Systems. All of the above experience must be in software development, or related IT fields; three (3) years of which must be at or above a level comparable with that of a Senior Business Analyst. Proven high level performance in similar roles will be considered for relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Evidence of management skills in controlling projects and staff and in the execution of difficult and complex organisational tasks along with the knowledge of principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of projects from initiation through to implementation is required. The post-holder must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, good technical writing abilities in English and the ability to get along well in a culturally diverse environment. Strong analytical skills and conceptual abilities are also required with a strong interest in business results and in group rather than individual achievement. Knowledge and experience in business process modelling and analysis tools as well as model techniques and methods are required for this post.
