Art Party

The event which celebrates EARTH DAY 2009 is open to all kindergarten, primary, middle and high school aged kids.

The National Gallery in conjunction with the National Trust are once again hosting the Annual Eco Art Party.

The event which celebrates EARTH DAY 2009 (a day of action and civic participation for environmental awareness world wide), is open to all kindergarten, primary, middle and high school aged kids.

Taking place at the National Gallery in Harbour Place on Saturday 25th April from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, materials and refreshments will be provided.

Taught by artist Aston Ebanks the National Gallery's ECO ART PARTY will demonstrate to young artists the importance of our environment. The activity will be plant pot painting where children will decorate plant pots and plant their very own seedling. Children will also discuss the importance of trees in our environment and what they can do to help preserve it.

Aston Ebanks has successfully established himself in the arts scene and is currently one of the only "installation artists" working on island. As an activist for the environment, Aston holds the position of the secretary of the Cayman Islands Beautification Committee, whose charter is to make Cayman "Cleaner & Greener".
