History of Photography

The daguerreotype camera, which was built in 1839, was the first camera made commercially available to the public.

The National Gallery is hosting a lecture on Tuesday, 26th May to discuss the topic "The History of Photography".

Learn about this interesting subject with artist and lecturer David Bridgeman. The discussion will be held at the Harbour Place Gallery at 6:00pm, everyone is invited to attend.
