Captain Trevor Iles of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary LARGS BAY paid courtesy calls on Chief Secretary, the Hon. George McCarthy, OBE, JP and Deputy Chief Secretary Mr Donovan Ebanks, MBE at their Portfolio of Internal and External Affairs offices today. Captain Iles was accompanied by the ship's Warrant Officer 2, Dave Nickerson.
The RFA LARGS BAY officers also called on newly-appointed Police Commissioner David Baines at his office in Elizabethan Square, and on Hazard Management Cayman Islands Acting Director McCLeary Frederick.
Accommodating some 59 crew members, the RFA LARGS BAY will be docked in Cayman for two days (5-6 June). A number of government ministers lunched on the ship today, after which the crew departed for Cayman Brac. They will meet with officials and tour several Brac facilities tomorrow.
