PRIDE Now Online

Tourism operators who wish to register staff for the PRIDE (Personal Responsibility in Delivering Excellence) customer service training programme can now do so online. A new website has been established for PRIDE, accessible at

PRIDE was developed over a year ago by the Department of Tourism (DOT) to provide training for improving customer service standards in Cayman's tourism sector.

Since then, the programme has facilitated the training of some 1700 employees from 50 organizations.

PRIDE's Standards and Inspection Officer Daphine Watson said the DOT established the website to widen its outreach to clientele. "The website showcases the programme, gives people access to general information, and can be used as a registration portal for the PRIDE PROMISES workshops," she explained.

The website specifically targets tourism-related businesses and industry employees wanting to improve their customer service skills. In addition, managers wishing to register their staff can now visit the site to select from several training workshops that the DOT posts on an on-going basis.

"We also have group registration for tourism organizations that prefer to register up to ten people at one time," Ms Watson concluded.
