NCB Homes has donated $4,000 to assist the Family Resource Centre (FRC) with its programming.
The FRC is the newly constituted agency under the Department of Counselling Services which combines the Women's Resource Centre, the Young Parents Programme and the National Parenting Programme.
NCB Managing Director Matthew Wight recently made the presentation to FRC's Programme Facilitator Miriam Foster at the NCB Home offices, Harbour Place.
In accepting the donation, Ms. Foster said, the funds will be used to provide programme support and to benefit all members of the community that access the FRC's services.
"We appreciate NCB choosing our agency to donate; the funds will go a long way in assisting the department to carry its programmes which are critical to the community," she said.
Commenting, Mr. Wight said NCB Homes felt that the FRC's functions were in line with his company's community focus and its motto - Building Communities of Distinction.
"Making this presentation to FRC is contributing to people who are our client demographic; it feels right to contribute to this agency because the individuals you help in the community are low-income families, some of whom are the victims of domestic violence, or teen parents, adults and youth in crisis," says Mr. Wight.
