Creek to Get New PO

Deputy Premier and Minister of District Administration Works and Gender Affairs the Hon. Juliana O'Connor-Connolly presents a cheque to Patricia Bodden for a building to house government offices in Creek, Cayman Brac. The presentation took place at the Minister's office in Grand Cayman.

Creek in Cayman Brac will soon have a new Government office; which will include a sports office and a post office. The original Creek Post Office was destroyed by Hurricane Paloma.

Deputy Premier and Minister of District Administration the Hon. Juliana O'Connor-Connolly, JP recently presented a cheque, for the said building, to Patricia Bodden. This building was previously owned by Miss Bodden's grandmother, Petrona Connolly-Bodden, the community's first mid-wife. The building is now being refurbished into the new office, and should be up and running in August of this year.

Minister O'Connor-Connolly pointed to the historical significance of the building.

"Our first mid-wife lived here, making this the birthplace of many of the Brac citizens. It is therefore fitting that we are now using this building to again serve the community."
