Donation to Pines
The Ministry of Health, Environment, Youth, Sports and Culture's dress down days have paid off for the residents of The Pines Retirement Home when ministry staff used the collected funds to buy the home a digital camera.
The Pines Manager Sue Nicholson thanked Minister Mark Scotland as he handed over the gift. "Just because our residents are old, does not mean they don't like to go places, and this will help to capture the many memories," she said.
Deputy Chief Officer Stran Bodden and Human Resource Assistant Carla Martin accompanied the minister on his visit.
