Inside Art

The National Gallery's A Day in the Life III brings art closer to the people.

On this week's show GIS Spotlight calls on the National Gallery's resident artists, discovers the passport to success, and explores low-budget hurricane kits.

Our first stop is the National Gallery where we meet three accomplished artists as they participate in A Day in the Life III: Renate Seffer explains her wanderlust, Avril Ward talks about heart and soul and Gordon Solomon shares two of his inspirational works. Join us as we watch them work and learn what lies behind their masterpieces.

With youth unemployment inching up, the Ministry of Education has joined forces with the Wellness Centre to give young people Passport2Success.

Take a seat, as we join the first group of students in class. Discover what they learn and hear first-hand whether they consider it worthwhile.

Finally, hear again about the basic supplies you absolutely must have as we shop with the Department of Environmental Health to discover how to create an emergency kit suited to all budgets.

Produced by Government Information Services, GIS Spotlight highlights government's services and solutions regarding issues that concern and affect you. The weekly programme airs on Mondays at 6:30 pm on Cayman27, and again on Thursdays at 7:30 pm on Island24.
