Queen's Birthday Honours 2010

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II recognises two well-known Caymanians in her 2010 Birthday Honours listing.

Heading the honour roll is Mr. Darwin Kurt Tibbetts, JP. He is made an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (Civil Division) (OBE), for his outstanding service to the community.

Mr. Alden McNee McLaughlin Jr., JP is appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE), for services to constitutional reform.

In addition, the Colonial Police and Fire Service Medal (CPFSM) goes to Deputy Chief Fire Officer Hulman Doorly McLaughlin of the Cayman Islands Fire Service.

Completing this official celebration of the monarch's 84th birthday, His Excellency the Governor Mr. Duncan Taylor, CBE has named Jackie Balls, Celeste Broderick and Penny McDowall to receive the Cayman Islands Certificate and Badge of Honour (Cert. Hon).

All three are honoured for services to the community, Mrs. Balls through the dance industry and Mrs. Broderick through pageantry, while Mrs. McDowall is recognized for services through the Special Olympics.
