This Monday (5 July) on GIS Spotlight join us again for a trip to Honduras and see how you can take advantage of this beautiful destination on our doorstep.
With Cayman Airways' new direct flight to La Ceiba, the Bay Islands - Roatan, Utila, and Guanaja - are just waiting to be explored.
On Roatan, we talk to President of the Tourism Commission of the Honduran National Congress Romeo Silvestri to get the inside scoop on what culinary and cultural treats the Islands have to offer.
Next, we travel to La Ceiba's outskirts to explore Honduras' famed eco-tourism. Don't miss our crocodile encounter, a wild tree ride and an untamed splash down a rolling river.
Finally, we interview CAL's Olivia Ramirez on why the airline decided to open the new route. We also explore more trade and tourism opportunities as we talk to a transplanted Caymanian and other interesting residents.
Produced by Government Information Services, GIS Spotlight highlights government's services and solutions regarding issues that concern and affect you.
The weekly programme airs on Mondays at 6:30 pm on Cayman27, and again on Thursdays at 7:30 pm on Island24. All the stories seen in this week's edition can also be found on YouTube at the following link: www.youtube.com/user/CIGovtInfoServices.ky.
