On this GIS Spotlight (Monday, 2 August) we follow the sirens to Owen Roberts International Airport, we learn more about a local Certified Public Accountant (CPA) programme and we go camping with the CAYS Foundation.
Cayman's emergency responders' skills were tested this month with Operation Heron, a full response airport emergency exercise.GIS Spotlight was on the scene, so join us to see how our fire service, police officers and other emergency response personnel trained to save lives.
Then we go to the University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI) to find out how local students can earn an internationally recognized CPA designation. We talk about the benefits plus we hear from past and current students.
Our last stop is the CAYS Foundation Empowerment Summer Camp. Find out how students learn to unlock their talents, boost their self-esteem and become better citizens - all while playing and exploring.
Produced by Government Information Services, GIS Spotlight highlights government's services and solutions regarding issues that concern and affect you.
