Taking Immigration to the Top

Immigration places training at the top of its agenda.

This Monday (12 July) on GIS Spotlight we explore Immigration's career development efforts, we talk about sports and we find out what the National Drug Council is doing with the data from its latest Student Drug Use Survey.

Cayman's Immigration Department takes professionalism and customer service seriously, which is why the department heavily invests in recruitment and training.

We meet some recently promoted Immigration officers and find out from them how they benefit from this forward-looking strategy.

Sports are more than just games, says Acting Sports Director Collin Anglin. Find out why he holds this view as we explore the many benefits of sports participation. We also tell you how you can get off the couch and into better shape even if you are busy and lack a budget for gym membership.

The National Drug Council recently completed its latest Student Drug Use Survey. GIS Spotlight visit staff members as they busily inputted, organised and analysed the data they collected.

Hear about the information they are after and why these findings are important. We also tell you how public and private agencies can use the survey information to guide their plans and policies.

Produced by Government Information Services, GIS Spotlight highlights government's services and solutions regarding issues that concern and affect you.

The weekly programme airs on Mondays at 6:30 pm on Cayman27, and again on Thursdays at 7:30 pm on Island24. All the stories seen in this week's edition can also be found on YouTube at the following link: www.youtube.com/user/CIGovtInfoServices.
