Wise Words for Summer Interns

Deputy Premier and Minister of District Administration the Hon. Juliana O'Connor-Connolly, JP and other officials take time out for summer and one-year interns.

Sixteen students are completing summer internships with several agencies that fall under of the Brac's District Administration Office.

Deputy Premier and Minister of District Administration the Hon. Juliana O'Connor-Connolly, JP recently met with the summer students as well as others who are participating in a longer one-year internship programme.

Welcoming them to the working world, the Minister advised them to gain all possible practical skills.

"While this internship allows you to make some money for the coming semester, I encourage you to grasp all the pointers you can during your time of employment. They will serve you well when you start full-time in the work world," she said.

The students expressed appreciation for the intern opportunity and for the Minister's advice.

For more than ten years, college students returning home for the summer to seek employment have been placed within various government departments in the Ministry of District Administration.
