In preparation for the 2011-12 school year, public schools in the Cayman Islands are welcoming new students to their campuses with orientation days.

PRIMARY SCHOOLS

Bodden Town Primary School - Monday 29 August, 2011 at 6:00p.m.

George Town Primary School - Monday 29 August, 2011 at 8:30a.m.

Lighthouse School - Monday 29 August, 2011 from 9:00a.m. to 10:00a.m.

Prospect Primary School - Monday 29 August, 2011 from 9:00a.m. to 11a.m.

Savannah Primary School - Monday 29 August, 2011 from 10:30a.m. to 12:30p.m.

Sir John A Cumber Primary School Monday 29 August, 2011 from 8:30a.m. to 12noon

HIGH SCHOOLS

Clifton Hunter High School (Year 7 only) Monday 29 August, 2011 from 8:00a.m. to 12noon

John Gray High School (Year 7 only) Monday 29 August, 2011 from 8:00a.m. to 12noon

FURTHER EDUCATION CENTRE

Cayman Islands Further Education Centre (CIFEC)

AP/Dual Entry students - Wednesday 31 August, 2011 from 8:30a.m. to 10:30a.m.

BTEC students - Thursday 1 September, 2011 from 8:30a.m. to 10:30a.m.

A number of schools have already carried out their "meet and greet" for new students and parents during the summer. The following schools conducted their orientation in June:

East End Primary School

Creek and Spot Bay Infant School

Layman E. Scott Sr. High School

North Side Primary School

Red Bay Primary School

West End Primary School

ALL primary and high school students are to report to school on Tuesday, 30 August, 2011. High schools begin roll-call at 8:00 a.m. while all primary schools start at 8:30 a.m.

Classes for AP/Dual Entry students at CIFEC start on Thursday 1 September, 2011; and Vocational/Technical classes start Tuesday 6 September, 2011.
