Greeting the reigning beauty queen yesterday afternoon (15 September), Mr. Bush said he was truly proud of Cristin and lauded her as an ardent cultural ambassador for Cayman. "Indeed, in Cayman's eyes, Cristin is a winner all the way and a tremendous role model for young women and girls in Cayman."

He added, "I wish her the very best during the rest of her year and beyond."

Others in attendance to greet her included George Town MLA Mr. Ellio Solomon as well as former MLA and Miss Cayman Committee member Ms Heather Bodden, who greeted Cristin with a floral bouquet as she came off the flight.

Describing her experience at Brazil as "incredible", Miss Cayman said she was delighted with the choice of all five top contestants in Monday (12 September) night's pageant, especially Miss Angola, the final winner.
