Court Verdict Settles Issues
The Elections Petition is an example of democracy at work and the Elections Office is glad to see that the outstanding issues regarding the 2013 General Elections have now been concluded.
The judgment of the Hon. Chief Justice Smellie QC has now settled some of the previously uncertain issues concerning eligibility requirements under Cayman Law. Accordingly, the Elections Office will be guided by this historic decision in the discharge of its duties in future elections.
