CO Meets Governor, Premier

The Governor Helen Kilpatrick with HMS Argyll Commanding Officer, Commander Paul Hammond

Commanding Officer of the visiting British Navy warship HMS Argyll, Cdr. Paul Hammond, , called on Her Excellency the Governor, Helen Kilpatrick and the Deputy Governor, Hon. Franz Manderson, during a visit to the Government Administration Building this morning (Monday, 6 October 2014). Accompanying the CO were Lt. Cdr. Charlie Wheen and UK Defence Advisor to the Caribbean, Lt. Col. Patrick Brown.

Next, Cdr. Hammond presented a plaque to the Premier, Hon. Alden McLaughlin when he met with the team for a chat in his office.

On the next stop, the team called on Hazard Management Cayman Islands Director, Mr. McCleary Frederick and his staff.

Finally, the team visited Commissioner of Police, Mr. David Baines at Police Headquarters in Elizabethan Square.

The naval visitors toured the RCIPS Marine Unit, conducted by Ins. Iam Yearwood, before returning to the ship anchored off George Town.

The CO is on his first tour of the Caribbean.
