HE and DG support Colour Me Purple 5K
Her Excellency the Governor, Helen Kilpatrick, CB and Deputy Governor, Hon. Franz Manderson, JP joined civil servants and staff of the Family Resource Centre (FRC) on Friday 11th March, 2016 for a dress-down day ahead of the FRC’s annual Colour Me Purple 5K Walk/Run this weekend.
The annual fundraiser is one of many programmes that support the empowerment of women and youth in the community during Honouring Women’s Month.
The Colour Me Purple 5K Walk/Run’s first event will begin at 6:30 a.m. for walkers and 7:00 a.m. for runners at Kaibo in North Side on Saturday, 12 March or on Sunday, 13 March at Smith Cove, South Church Street at the same times.
The event also features “Da Bombest” color-bombing station competition featuring event sponsors; Cayman National Bank, Bliss Yoga, CI Women’s National Flag Football team, MaplesFS, Crossfit 7 Mile, Cricket Square and Foster’s Food Fair competing to win a corporate team-building workshop.
BAF Insurance, Island Naturals Café, Progressive and Cobalt Coast are also supporting to ensure a great event for all participants.
Registration is still open and interested people can register at the event for the fee of $20.
