Registration Opens for DG 5K
Deputy Governor Franz Manderson and Miss Cayman Islands Monyque Brooks were quick off the mark to register for the 2016 DG’s 5K Challenge this morning (Thursday, 7 April 2016).
Registration for the event opened in both the Government Administration Building in Grand Cayman and the District Administration Building in Cayman Brac.
The third annual DG’s 5K Challenge aims to raise $50,000 to help Cayman Heart Fund buy a new ambulance for the people of the Cayman Islands.
Spearheaded by Mr. Manderson, the DG’s 5K Challenge is scheduled for Cayman Brac on Sunday, 17 April and Grand Cayman on Sunday, 24 April.
“I urge as many people as possible to come along to the government buildings and register for this great event,” said Mr. Manderson. “We are raising money for an extremely worthy cause to ensure Cayman Heart Fund meets its target. The new ambulance could save your life or help save the life of a loved one. Please support us in our efforts.”
Registration is being held in Cayman Brac on 7, 8, 14 and 15 April from 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Grand Cayman on 7, 8, 14 and 15 April from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. as well as 21 and 22 April from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
