Cuban Migrants Repatriated
A group of 20 Cuban migrants were repatriated to Havana, Cuba today (Tuesday, 21 February 2017), in a joint operation by the Department of Immigration, the Customs Department and Her Majesty’s Prison Service.
Officers escorted two females and 18 males from the Immigration Detention Centre (IDC) to a charter flight at the Owen Roberts International Airport.
With this departure a total of 51 migrants, 40 males and 11 females, remain in Immigration custody on island, and are housed at various approved facilities.
