Elections Officers Begin Training

Some 300 elections officers began their training at a session held by the Elections Office.

Some 300 elections officers began their training at a session held by the Elections Office at Mary Miller Hall Thursday, 9 February 2017. At the start of the training session, the officers pledged to abide by a prescribed code of conduct. More sessions are planned over the coming weeks.

The Elections Office trainers Mr. Delano Solomon and Mr. Rupert McCoy covered duties and responsibilities of Elections Workers as well as the the importance of being fair, professional and impartial in their duties and actions.

Currently underway is also the revision exercise before the final Voters List is published on 1 April 2017. Everyone has time until 20 February 2017 to check on the Voters List and to submit corrections and objections to the Elections Office. You can check the list online at www.elections.ky or see the list that is placed in every post office on all three islands.
