Cayman Brac, Cayman Islands, March 19, 2020: In light of the recent developments and
measures put in place by the Government, the following changes can be expected at District
To minimize the risk of exposure to staff, some staff will be engaging in flexible/shift
working hours and working remotely where possible. This will be done to ensure
continuity of services for those services that cannot be accessed online and for the
general public who may not have access to the internet. Everyone is encouraged to
practice social distancing; maintaining a 3ft – 6ft distance while conducting business.
The following service is closed with effect from Monday, March 16 until further notice.
o Cayman Brac Day Care Centre.
The following service is closed with effect from Friday, March 20 until further notice.
o Cayman Brac Museum.
The following services will be closing/suspended effective Monday, 23, 2020 until
o Cayman Brac Heritage House including weekly Craft Markets and rental
o Free Island/Nature Tours provided by District Administration.
All bookings for the Aston Rutty Centre with the exception of Summary Court and the
Community and 25M SC Pools have been cancelled until further notice.
Treasury and Vehicle Licensing services on Cayman Brac will open during the hours
of 8:30am – 1:00pm, Monday – Friday effective Monday, March 23 until further notice.

New procedures of issuing and renewal of Driver’s Licenses along with Vehicle
Inspections have been addressed by the Department of Vehicle and Driver’s
Treasury and Vehicle Licensing services for Little Cayman will continue. Persons are
encouraged to practice social distancing while visiting the District Office. Phoning
ahead to check on wait times is also encouraged.
District Office Little Cayman will continue will maintain regular office hours.
District Commissioner’s Administrative Office will open during the hours of 8:30am –
1:00pm, Monday – Friday effective Monday, March 23 until further notice.
Public Works will maintain normal hours of operation with staff working reduced hours
