The Ministry of Commerce, Planning and Infrastructure (CPI) is responsible for a wide range of services that provide critical infrastructure support for the maintenance of a strong viable economy.
The business of Government in Cayman Brac and Little Cayman is channelled through the Ministry as a means of ensuring the timely and efficient implementation of Government policies on the Sister Islands.

The Planning Appeals Tribunal is set up under the Development and Planning Law (1995) Revision. The function of the Tribunal is to hear appeals by applicants and objectors or any person aggrieved by a decision of the Central Planning Authority (CPA).
The law relevant to setting up this Board is The Dangerous Substances Handling and Storage Law, 2003.
