International engineering firm Royal HaskoningDHV, have been appointed by the Central Tenders Committee to provide Civil Engineering Consultancy Services for the proposed George Town cruise berthing facility.
Tourism Minister Hon. Moses Kirkconnell is confident that the temporary loss of room stock with the closure of Beach Suites will not have a long term negative impact on the tourism accommodation sector.

The Benthic Habit Survey Report commissioned on behalf of the Cayman Islands Government to examine marine habitats within the proposed cruise piers dredging footprint estimates that a significant proportion of the impacted coral could be successfully translocated.
