Become a Foster Parent

Foster carers provide a safe haven for children – and it can be a short term or long term arrangement. Requirements are persons without a criminal record, between the ages of 25 and 65.

Foster parents should be in good health; even persons with disabilities can foster as long as your disability does not affect your ability to parent. Applicants must be resident in the Cayman Islands.

Testimonials

Dorline Welcome

George Town Community Development Officer

"My passion is helping others succeed – which is why I always say that I really didn’t choose my job – it chose me! CDOs are the eyes and ears of the community to ensure that those individuals and communities that genuinely have a need can access the needed resources."

Vanda Powery

West Bay Community Development Officer

"Our successes result from the collaborative way we work within our multi-disciplinary team from the various community advocate groups, service groups, schools, individuals and government agencies. We all share a unified goal to promote, educate and use programmes to make a positive impact in our clients’ lives, and those of the community as a whole."

Delmira Bodden

Bodden Town Community Development Officer

“I have little tolerance for social injustice and use my training to work for those who need a voice to experience a better quality of life through strong partnerships and government programmes, community/business partnerships and self-determination.”

An Engaged Community

We protect and promote the rights and welfare of children, families, disabled and older persons in the Cayman Islands.
Our work with individuals and collaboration with community partners creates vital links that assist, empower and educate.
