Today's Weather

At 10 pm Wednesday night, the National Hurricane Centre in Miami Florida issued its last advisory on Tropical Depression 9. The Depression was downgraded to a remnant low as it moved over the Yucatan Peninsula. It is expected if the remnant Low emerges over the Northwest Caribbean Sea dry air along with westerly shear will prevent the Low from regenerating. Therefore, a gradually decrease in cloudiness and showers is expected over the Cayman area for the next 24 hours. Radar images show light isolated showers within 50 km of Grand Cayman and moderate to strong scattered showers over the sister Islands. All showers are moving north to northeast.
