While it was acknowledged that I have complied with requirements to disclose interests and have taken steps to mitigate any perceived or actual conflict of interest, there are some points I would like to clarify:

The meetings provided an opportunity for stakeholders to share their experiences, raise concerns and offer recommendations to help inform the Ministry's ongoing policy and legislative work.

The Minister contemplates that, under the proposed changes, employers would continue to be required to advertise vacancies on the WORC Jobs Portal for at least 21 days before submitting a work permit application.
