Ministry of Social Development & Innovation

WHAT WE DO
The Ministry of Social Development and Innovation is reimagining social development by supporting and uplifting Cayman’s most vulnerable people with new or revamped services; advancing the digital and innovation capacities of the Cayman Islands; and facilitating investment opportunities that support social development and facilities in the community.

The primary goals of the Ministry of Social Development and Innovation are to elevate the Cayman Islands and advance the economic, social and political interests of Government, people and businesses, for a prosperous and sustainable future.
In pursuit of these goals, the Ministry seeks suitable inward investment to grow the economy, and facilitate a smooth and efficient delivery of Government services to both new investors and current residents with the innovative use of technology and the fostering of modern business processes across Government.

To assist and uplift vulnerable and disadvantaged Caymanians, the Ministry has been given the responsibility of reimagining and reforming social development, through meaningful, measurable, efficient and effective changes to Government’s policies and programs of social assistance.
