What We Do

Our Purpose: Preserve our Past, Strengthen our Future.

The Ministry of Youth, Sports & Heritage (MYSH) is the curator of the Cayman Islands customs and legacy while progressing and elevating sport and youth activities, programmes and policies. Our aim is to ensure the history and traditions of the Cayman Islands is remembered and shared throughout generations; while encouraging and supporting the development and implementation of sports for all; and the advancement of youth directed agendas and policies to guarantee positive outcomes for our future. We understand the importance of developing dynamic youth and well-rounded athletes who are afforded the opportunities for physical, emotional and mental well-being to ensure success in the local, regional and international arenas. The Ministry engages a collaborative approach in all of its efforts, understanding the significance of stakeholder involvement for optimum success in participation, implementation and service delivery in the Cayman Islands.

The Ministry applauds the accomplishments of our existing talents including our artists, athletes and young people. Moreover, the MYSH endeavors to ensure the identification and development of our people; increase access to and in world class sporting events; empower our youth and bring greater awareness to our culture and heritage.
