National Recognition Awards 2026

The awards presented during the annual National Heroes Day ceremony will now be officially known as the National Recognition Awards. This change, approved by Cabinet, helps distinguish award recipients from those bestowed with the title of National Hero.

Each January, National Heroes Day honours individuals and groups who have made outstanding contributions to nation-building. For the 2026 ceremony, the focus will be on “Physical Infrastructure”, celebrating those who have shaped Cayman’s built environment and laid the foundation for the country’s continued progress.
