Q: Why is the Cayman Islands Government introducing a new look and feel for GOV.KY ?
Aligned with the vision for a world-class Civil Service, the Cayman Islands Government has launched the new look of GOV.KY, the official source of Government news and online portal to services.
Housed on a new content management system, this launch version of GOV.KY will provide better viewing of Government services and contact information, access to video and social media content, and an improved mobile experience.
Q: What are the main changes that have been introduced?
News is an enhanced Press Room which allows better browsing of news stories, videos, events and public information campaigns.
The dedicated Services directory can be filtered alphabetically and by category.
The Info section compiles popular information about living, working, doing business and visiting the Cayman Islands.
Directory provides an at-a-glance listing of Government Ministries, Portfolios, Departments, Sections, Units , Statutory Authorities and Government-Owned Companies
The Live Stream window provides easy access to video streaming from the CIGTV YouTube channel.
The About Us section houses information about the Government and our Islands.
Contact Us provides the Government's main contact information.
The top navigation menu includes the FOI section which houses guidance on Freedom of Information and the Vacancies section which lists the jobs available with the Cayman Islands Government.
Q: Which browsers does GOV.KY support?
GOV.KY is optimised for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Safari.
Q: Will I be able to use different devices to view GOV.KY?
GOV.KY has been designed to fit desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones.
Q. Some of the pages I visited still look like the old website. Why is this so?
This launch version of GOV.KY signals the completion of the first phase of our replatforming project and also heralds the beginning of the second phase, which entails the migration of other government websites. We will work in partnership with internal teams and employ analytics to build upon this launch version. While we are in transition, you will continue to see some of the pages you are familiar with along with those that have the new look and feel.

Our team's iterative approach means user experience will continue to improve in a series of cycles from launch so that public feedback will inform future improvements. This will be implemented through our feedback portal and various analytics tools.
