THE CAYMAN PLATINUM CAKE COMPETITION

This competition has concluded.

The United Kingdom has a history of producing new and interesting foods to celebrate significant occasions, or naming foods after Royals who particularly enjoyed them.

Notable examples are Victoria Sponge, a favourite treat for Queen Victoria, or the delicious flourless chocolate Queen Mother’s Cake that her Majesty’s mother enjoyed so much.

In honour of Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee we are looking for another recipe to add to that list. So if you are a home baker, read on.

What are we looking for?

For this competition we are looking for Cayman’s take on the idea of a dessert or cake. Something sweet that you would enjoy on its own, or to round off a meal.

Please make sure your recipe...

  • Is original
  • Is able to be submitted by email to the Governor’s Office
